Wildcat Volleyball Takes Third at Visitation Tournament

The Westminster Christian Academy girls volleyball team turned in a strong performance at the prestigious Visitation Academy Tournament, earning a third-place finish against some of the area's top competition.

The Wildcats opened pool play with an exciting sweep of conference rival John Burroughs. With consistent serving and steady defense, Westminster outlasted the Bombers in three straight sets, 25-18, 25-23, 25-21.

In their final pool play match, the Wildcats battled hard against Parkway Central, the eventual tournament champion. Despite falling in straight sets, Westminster pushed the Colts throughout the match and showed resilience against one of the region's best squads.

Advancing to the third-place match, the Wildcats came out determined and focused. Behind a balanced attack and sharp execution, they defeated St. Vincent in convincing fashion, 25-17, 25-14, to secure the tournament's third-place trophy.

The girls will be in action next on Tuesday, when they travel to Francis Howell Central before hosting Ursuline and John Burroughs on Wednesday and Thursday.
