The postseason is here, and Westminster Christian Academy will proudly serve as the host site for the Class 2 District 2 Tournament, welcoming seven competitive programs for both individual and team play. The individual tournament will take place May 1–2, with the team tournament following from May 5–8.
District Teams and Records (MSHSAA.org):
De Smet (8-6)
McCluer (1-6)
Parkway Central (7-8)
Parkway North (1-13)
Parkway West (14-3)
Priory (4-3)
Westminster (7-1)
Westminster enters the tournament riding strong momentum with a 7-1 overall record, including notable head-to-head victories over key district opponents. Earlier this season, the Wildcats secured a 6-3 win over Parkway Central and a 7-2 win over De Smet. Important final tune-up matches remain against Priory (April 29) and Parkway North (April 30), giving Westminster a chance to further sharpen their form before postseason play officially begins.
One of the top challengers in the field will be Parkway West (14-3), which has put together an impressive regular season. Meanwhile, traditional programs like De Smet and Priory are expected to be highly competitive, making for an exciting and wide-open tournament.
Led by a strong, balanced lineup, Westminster looks to continue its outstanding season with deep runs in both the individual and team brackets. The Wildcats are aiming for a third district title in a row, and the opportunity to advance to the state tournament later next month.
Come out and support the team as they battle for district supremacy on their home courts! Go Wildcats!
