On Friday May 24, the boys tennis team traveled to the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, MO to participate in the Class 2 State Final Four.
Their first match saw them play the formidable MICDS Rams, a tennis program with 16 previous state championships. Their first match of the day was hard fought, but ultimately the Cats fell to to the Rams who would later win the state championship.
The third place match later that day saw Westminster taking on the 19-9 Pirates of Branson. The Cats found success early in the match, taking the lead through the doubles matches. The boys kept their foot on the gas pedal, needing to finish only three singles matches to reach five wins and capture the third place trophy.
