Before their matchup against St. Pius X, the Westminster baseball program honored seven seniors for their dedication and contributions to the program during a special Senior Night ceremony.
Kyle Guebert was joined by his parents Jeff and Joy Guebert. He has been a part of the program since seventh grade. He plans to attend the University of Missouri to study Mechanical Engineering.
Jack Hirtz, accompanied by his parents Matt and Kelly Hirtz, has been part of the baseball program for five years and also played freshman basketball. He will continue his baseball career at Quincy University while studying Finance.
Owen Leingang was joined by his parents Jim and Andrea Leingang. A six-year member of the baseball program, Owen plans to continue playing baseball at Maryville University while studying Finance.
Kam McCole, accompanied by Alicia and Damon McCole, has spent four years in the program and served as a Student Ambassador. He will attend Central Methodist University to continue his baseball career and study Biochemistry.
Drew Messey, joined by his parents Lisa and Rick Messey, has played baseball for six years and will continue his career at the University of Louisville.
Elliott Stewart was recognized alongside his parents Alicia and Jeff Stewart. During his four years in the program, Elliott was also involved in Orchestra, Spiritual Life Team, club baseball, and church youth group. He plans to attend Mission University to continue playing baseball.
AJ Stovall, accompanied by parents Susan and Anthony Stovall Sr. and brothers Josiah and Jalen, has been part of the baseball program for four years and also competed in basketball. He plans to attend Grand Canyon University to study Sports Management.
The Wildcats also honored Jacob DeClue, joined by his parents John and Patty DeClue. Jacob played baseball in middle school before serving the past two years as the team's public address announcer. He is also captain of the hockey team and a member of the golf team. He plans to attend the University of Missouri to study Accounting.
Westminster thanks this senior class for its leadership, dedication, and impact on the baseball program and wishes them success in their future endeavors.
