The Westminster girls basketball team put together a strong showing at the Lutheran South Girls Basketball Tournament, held January 3–10, 2026, finishing third-place with several standout individual performances.
The Wildcats opened tournament play in dominant fashion, rolling to a 62–25 quarterfinal victory over KIPP. Westminster's pressure defense and balanced scoring set the tone early, allowing the Wildcats to advance comfortably to the semifinals.
In the semifinal round, Westminster faced a tough challenge against Oakville, falling 54–38 in a hard-fought contest. Despite the setback, the Wildcats regrouped quickly and responded with resilience in the third-place game.
Facing Parkway Central in the consolation final, Westminster earned a 45–42 win in a tightly contested battle. Senior Addi Drumm delivered a clutch performance, going a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line, including two free throws in the final 10 seconds to secure the victory. Fellow senior Essence Robertson also received All-Tournament honors after averaging 9 points and 8 rebounds per game, while adding 11 steals throughout the tournament.
Additional contributions came from across the roster, including sophomore Paige Burgdorf, who averaged 9 points and 6 rebounds per game, and freshman Evyn Roach, who knocked down two key three-pointers in the third-place game to help swing momentum in Westminster's favor.
