Wildcats Face Tough Conference Opponent in Playoffs

In the opening round of the Class 4 District 7 tournament, the Wildcat girls basketball team faced a challenging matchup against conference rival MICDS.

Monday night's game was fiercely contested from the beginning to the end. The Wildcats demonstrated their resilience and determination, leading for most of the first half until a barrage of points from MICDS in the final two minutes ended the first half with the Cats just three points behind. Throughout the second half, they maintained a close score but were unfortunately unable to overtake MICDS, culminating in a narrow 7-point loss in the District Quarterfinal.

Despite a season plagued by injuries, seniors Emma Ballew and Mia Scheulen (one of the injured) kept the team playing hard until the end. We also extend our deepest gratitude to Coaches Briner, Smiles, and Collison for their dedication and hard work throughout the season. We are eager to witness the continued development and achievements of the girls next year!
