The Westminster Wildcats turned in an outstanding performance at the 2025 MSHSAA Class 1 State Swimming & Diving Championships, held November 13–14 at the St. Peters Rec-Plex. With qualifiers in three events the Wildcats made the most of their time on the state stage, earning two top-five finishes and setting two new school records.
Westminster qualified for state in the 200 Medley Relay with a young lineup of freshmen Tyson Brooks and Jason Kraft alongside juniors Harrison Frost and Jack Stewart. Frost also qualified individually in the 100 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke, with Kraft joining him in the breaststroke field.
The Wildcats started strong in Thursday's prelims, where junior standout Harrison Frost delivered exceptional swims. In the 100 Freestyle, Frost clocked a 47.96, placing 6th and breaking his own school record of 48.36 set last season. He followed that up with a 59.39 in the 100 Breaststroke, securing the 4th seed for the finals. Freshman Jason Kraft also competed well in the breaststroke, finishing 24th at 1:03.95 in his state debut. Frost's top-eight finishes earned him a spot in Friday's championship finals for both of his events.
In the championship heats, Frost once again rose to the occasion, earning All-State honors in both swims. He placed 5th in the 100 Free with a time of 48.18 and 4th in the 100 Breast with a 59.11—breaking the school record previously held by 2021 alumnus Jack Villa (59.46). His performance added two new marks to his already impressive résumé. With these results, Frost now holds five individual school records and is part of two school-record relay teams, solidifying his place as one of the most decorated swimmers in program history.
The Wildcats' strong showing at the state meet highlighted both the leadership of veteran swimmers and the promise of the program's young talent. With multiple underclassmen gaining valuable championship experience and several contributors returning next season, Westminster heads into the offseason with momentum and excitement for what the future holds.
