Records are meant to be broken, and two of our young swimmers did just that this week.
Freshman Ivan Wang has been on the cusp of breaking the 100 Butterfly record since the season began, and he finally succeeded this week. Ivan clocked in at 55.34 seconds, shaving off 0.17 seconds from the previous record set by Michael Seifert '13 in 2010.
Sophomore Harrison Frost, already familiar with the record board from his freshman year feat in the 100 Freestyle, has added another record to his accolades. He broke the 200 Individual Medley (I.M.) record, previously held for 14 years by Nathan Terschak '11, with a time of 2:04.60.
With much of the season ahead, these impressive underclassmen are expected to further distance themselves from former records and continue challenging other standing records.
