During the last week, end of season awards have been announced for boys and girls basketball. Multiple Wildcats received recognition for their accomplishments this season.
Boys Basketball:
Junior Will Powers continued the success he saw in his first two years as a Wildcat, leading the team in points (22.1) and rebounds (7.6) per game. Will was named to the Metro League 1st Team, the All-District team, and to the All-State team.
Senior Tobi Akinyede capped of his Westminster career on a high note, leading the team in assists per game (3.22) and was the team's second leading scorer. Tobi was named to the Metro League 2nd team.
Senior Gage Grewe was a force on the court and in the classroom, earning himself a spot on the Academic All-State team.
Girls Basketball:
Senior Addi Drumm completed her senior season being the team leader in points (12.2) and steals (4) per game. She was named the District player of the year, and a member of the Metro League 2nd Team.
Senior Essence Robertson was a leader on the offensive and defensive side of the ball, leading the team in assists and pulling in 5.2 rebounds a game. Essence was an All-District honorable mention.
Senior Meredith De Groot was prime example of success on and off the court, being named to the Academic All-State team.
