Girls golf has secured the first district championship of the year for the Wildcats. The district tournament took place on October 9 at Crescent Farms Golf Club in Eureka. As dawn broke on a brisk fall day with the ground blanketed in dew, our girls set out with an 8:30 a.m. tee time. It was a slow start for the Cats in the chilly conditions, however, they quickly warmed up, finishing the day strong with an 8-stroke lead over the second-placed Rockwood Summit. Impressively, all five of our girls made the cut and will be heading to Farmington, MO, for the two-day Class 3 State Tournament on October 16 & 17.
Individually, every team member delivered impressive performances. Standouts include sophomore Caroline Domyan, who shot a +10 (82) securing a 5th-place finish, and junior Maryn Hill, who carded a commendable +12 (84) and finished T-6.
We eagerly anticipate the State Tournament, wishing our girls and Coach Bradley the best and hoping they'll return with even more accolades.
